In the midst of the summer of 2021 there is still a level of uncertainty about how Rotary will continue to provide those human connections Rotary members have valued previously. Though the mantra of hands face space' will undoubtedly remain a part of our daily routine it is apparent that trust is growing and face-to-face reconnections occur. Rotary's face has changed. While we are moving through this summer and the uncertainty regarding how Rotary will be able to offer the same level of human interaction which Rotary members enjoyed in years in the past persists. Although the "hands facing space" mantra is sure to be a part of the routine in the club it is clear that a sense of confidence is developing, and more people are making face-to faces connections. Rotary is, however, having changed. Rotary has evolved. This has inspired us to improve our technology methods. Our company is online while also reintroducing our activities for service and social. Our newfound opportunities have combined with what we learned from previous outbreaks to create a perspective to Rotary. Recently an Rotary survey found that 75% were organizing business-as-usual activities. Listen to this story 1. Amanda Watkin, General Secretary's Column published in Rotary magazine. In the course of a Rotary survey conducted recently it was encouraging to find that 75% of clubs were planning their usual activities and projects which have previously benefited communities across Great Britain and Ireland. It is great to see that the Rotary support center team offers valuable resources which help with the maintenance and promotion of the infrastructure. It also helps keep people who are members safe. Insurance and compliance are equally important. It is incredible to see how our members are able to come up with creative ways to solve certain of the most challenging challenges. I'm grateful to be a part of the team. Rotary allowed me to join in 2002. Rotary as well as many others has given me a solid network of people who share my values and who have formed genuine friendships throughout the past twenty years. We should now ask relatives as well as friends to become part of this wonderful group.
